AC/DC closed the Power Up tour on 2 October at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The date had been set for 25 September and was pushed back a week by a storm on the east coast. They played twenty-one songs, from “If You Want Blood” to “For Those About To Rock”, with an extended Angus Young solo on “Let There Be Rock”.

Dave Grohl, who opened that night with Foo Fighters, came out to sing “Highway To Hell”. Before it he described what the film “Let There Be Rock” had done to him: “At 11 years old, I didn’t know that rock and roll could be like that. I didn’t know that rock n’ roll was sweat, blood and tears.”

Brian Johnson said goodbye from the stage: “Thank you everyone… we love you, we have to say bye-bye now. We hope we’ll see you again. So bye-bye, goodnight and tell your grandkids about this night.” The band has not said whether this is the end of the touring or the end of AC/DC.

Power Up opened on 17 May 2024 in Gelsenkirchen and ran to eighty-nine shows across Europe, Australia and the Americas, with Chris Chaney on bass and Matt Laug on drums. It stopped twice in Spain: Seville, on 29 May and 1 June 2024, and Madrid, on 12 and 16 July 2025. None of the four dates was in Catalonia.
