Tres Tambors, the quartet led by saxophonist Albert Cirera, play music from “Orangina” at the Jamboree on Saturday 21 November, in two sets, at 7pm and 8.30pm. It’s part of the 58th Barcelona Jazz Festival, and tickets are €19 (€15 for members).
“We’re four musicians who, through my compositions — sometimes open, sometimes groovy, sometimes ethereal — let ourselves go and let our creativity take off,” Cirera says on the festival’s page.
“Orangina” is the group’s third album and came out in 2025 on Underpool. The quartet debuted in 2012 with “Els Encants”, on Fresh Sound Records, and in 2017 released “Suite salada”, also on Underpool, which they launched at the same festival.
Marco Mezquida plays piano on the album; at the Jamboree Roger Mas stands in for him, with Marko Lohikari on double bass and Òscar Domènech on drums.
