Ana Lua Caiano plays La Nau on Friday 5 February 2027, doors at eight in the evening and tickets €19.65 in advance. She is presenting her second album, with CityZen Music promoting.
The record is called “Devagar Que A Vida É Curta” and Glitterbeat Records release it on 6 November digitally, on CD and on vinyl. The first taster, “Uma Vida A Menos”, came out on 22 May.
Caiano sings Portuguese work songs and traditional formulas over drum machines, and what does the percussion is often a noise taped in the street: a door, a machine, a pair of hands. The new album brings in keyboards, piano, wind instruments and vocal harmonies, and the venue promises sharper lyrics, lyrics of protest.
The tour opens on 6 November itself at gnration in Braga and carries on through Ovar on the 13th, Coimbra the 14th, Viseu the 15th, Tavira the 20th and Torres Vedras the 21st. The big home dates are 21 January at Lux Frágil in Lisbon and the 28th at the Casa da Música in Porto; Barcelona comes after that. Her first full-length, “Vou Ficar Neste Quadrado”, came out on the same label in 2024.
