Pianist Daniel Ferruz brings his quartet to Jamboree’s Sala 3, at Plaça Reial 18, on Sunday 29 November, in two sets at 19:00 and 20:30. Tickets cost 16 €, 12 € for club members.
Ferruz is from Zaragoza, and the rest of the quartet comes from the Catalan scene: Joan Mas on alto sax, David Mengual on double bass and Adrià Claramunt on drums. It’s the same line-up that recorded “Un Presente”, the band’s third album after “Noctis” and “Miradas”; they’ve played together since 2018.
The music sits in the territory of original composition written with the grammar of the classic jazz quartet. Ferruz received the Young Talent award from the Association of Jazz and Modern Music Musicians in 2024.
