Delain released “We Are Fire” on 20 October through Napalm Records. It is the first track of the chapter the band opened on the 19th, when they said they would not be replacing Diana Leah and that guests would sing the new album. On streaming platforms the track is credited to Delain with Fabienne Erni, Paolo Ribaldini and Noa Gruman.

Erni is the singer of Eluveitie. Ribaldini had already sung with Delain on “Invictus”, the 10 February 2023 track he shared with Marko Hietala.

Nine guests have been named. Alongside the three on this track are Hietala, of Nightwish; Sharon den Adel and Ruud Jolie, of Within Temptation; Anneke van Giersbergen, of The Gathering; Johanna Kurkela, of Auri and Eye of Melian; and Patty Gurdy. On the 19th the band had named only two.

“‘We Are Fire’ is about the inner fire that keeps us moving forward, even when the path ahead is uncertain,” says Martijn Westerholt, the band’s founder and songwriter. “It’s about daring to cross boundaries, and refusing to give up on what we believe in.”

The tour runs in February 2027 through Germany, Switzerland and the Netherlands; the final night is 11 February at 013 in Tilburg. The band has still not given the album a title or a date.
