DeWolff play Sala La Mirona in Salt on Saturday 17 October. Doors at half past eight, show at nine. Tickets are €30 in advance and €35 on the door; anyone who bought in July paid €28. The show is part of the fourth Mirorock, the rock series the venue runs from 2 October to 14 November, and Last Tour is promoting.
The Last Livin’ Souls open. They won the ninth Barcelona Blues Society contest on 19 November 2022.
The Dutch trio work with Hammond organ, guitar and drums, and they are a road band: the venue counts more than a thousand shows across Europe, Australia, Indonesia and Russia, and a previous tour of more than a hundred dates in fourteen countries. They have nine studio albums — seven of them Dutch top 20 — three live records and two EPs. In 2019 they took the Edison award for best rock group, and in 2020 a Buma award. They have shared bills with Toto, The Black Crowes, The Black Keys, Deep Purple, Ten Years After and Wolfmother.
They have their own fully analogue studio, where they record their own work and other people’s: Luther Dickinson drops in to cut songs there from time to time, the venue says. One of their albums was made with Mark Neill, who produces The Black Keys.
Neither the venue nor the promoter says which record they’re touring. The most recent thing in their catalogue is the single “Full Moon Ritual”, from 4 September.
