Sleeve of Eivør's “Tungl”, the album the Faroese singer released on 16 October 2026 through Nuclear Blast

Eivør released “Tungl” yesterday, ten songs out through Nuclear Blast, and the same day she premiered the video for “Og Mánin Græt / And The Moon Cried”, directed by Gwenaël Akira.

“The song is about a faint memory that still lingers, almost like a dream,” the Faroese singer says of that track. “I remember looking up at the moon in the dark sky when I was little, wondering why it always looked so sad.”

Of the record as a whole she says it “explores the ever-changing cycles of life – its songs move between moments of tenderness and heartache, love and loss, and the emotional tides that shape us”.

It’s her first album for Nuclear Blast. The previous one, “Enn”, came out on 14 June 2024 through Season of Mist with eight songs in Faroese, most of the lyrics written with the poet Marjun Syderbø Kjelnæs. Our review of “Tungl” went up today.

The North American run opens on 28 October at the Racket in New York and closes on 22 November in San Diego. The European tour starts on 24 February 2027 at Store Vega in Copenhagen and ends on 27 March at Pustervik in Gothenburg, twenty-four shows across Denmark, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, France, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Italy, Austria, the Czech Republic, Poland, Lithuania, Finland and Sweden. There’s no Spanish date.
