Firtan have released the video for “Shadows of a Dawn Unborn”, the fourth track shown from “Helios”, the album that came out on 2 October through AOP Records. Christian Höll, of Vinsta and Perchta, plays soprano saxophone on it.

It is the fifth album by the Lörrach six-piece and their first since “Ethos”, from 2024. Twelve tracks, mixed and mastered by Markus Stock of Empyrium and The Vision Bleak at his own studio. The other guest is James Dorton, of Ne Obliviscaris and Black Crown Initiate, who sings on “The Hierophant Way”.

The line-up is completed by Phillip Thienger on vocals, lead guitar and keyboards, Lukas Massinger and Chris S. on guitars, Oliver König on bass and backing vocals, David Kempf on drums and Klara Bachmair on violin, a permanent member rather than a studio addition. The record closes with a cover of Bathory’s “Man of Iron”, and before this video the band had put out “The Hierophant Way”, “Ascension” and “Kalika’s Tongue”.
