Leng Tch’e release “Hammered Into Collapse” on 23 October, a two-song EP that Season of Mist is putting out digitally. It is the first new material from the Ghent grindcore band since “Razorgrind”, from 2017: nine years in which the group has kept playing across Europe and the UK without entering a studio.

The title track can already be heard, with a video. The other one is called “Voided”.

“’Hammered into Collapse’ is built around the image of a parasite that has fed on its host for twenty years without ever being sated,” the band says, describing it as a slow reckoning with wasted time.

It was recorded at Hearse Studio with engineer Lander Cluyse, mixed by Taylor Young at The Pit Recording Studio and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege. The label presents the EP as the opening of a new chapter, but no album has been announced.
