Lesoir release “Tomorrow Is Now Today” on Friday 23 October, the Dutch band’s first record for V2 Records, which has taken the worldwide release. The label has not published a tracklist yet.
John Cornfield, who had worked with the band before, produces it; Paul Reeve again handles the vocals, and Steve Kitch, The Pineapple Thief’s keyboard player, masters it. The line-up is unchanged: Maartje Meessen on vocals, piano, flute and guitar, Ingo Dassen and Rutger Martens on guitars, Staf Wouters on bass, Bob Van Heumen on drums and Ramon Reijnders on percussion and programming.
“Hidden Fire”, the third single after “Back To You” and “Is It Nothing?”, is sung by a musician who feels drowned out: on the other side of the wall there are AI-generated songs and soulless covers playing in gyms and shops, and he keeps rehearsing.
The previous album, “Push Back The Horizon”, came out on 20 September 2024. The European tour around the new record runs through Germany, Poland, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, the Netherlands and Luxembourg between 1 October and 29 November. There is no Spanish date.
