MAE.SUN play Jamboree’s Sala 1 on Sunday 18 October, in a set running from seven to eight in the evening. General admission is 20 €.
Behind the name is Hailey Niswanger, from Portland, on saxophone, flute and voice, backed by keyboards, guitar, bass and drums. The venue notes the set is entirely her own compositions.
Niswanger started MAE.SUN in 2016, coming out of her jazz studies, and has released three volumes: “Vol. 1: Inter-be” in 2017, “Vol. 2: Into the Flow” in 2019 and “Vol. 3: Reverence” in July 2024, eight tracks with cover art by Meagan Boyd. The venue places her between spiritual jazz, fusion and soul.
