Nevermore play the Salamandra in L’Hospitalet on Thursday 20 May 2027, doors at half past six and tickets €37. Madness Live already have them on sale.

It is the only Catalan stop on “Liminal Spaces”, twenty-one dates that start on 29 April at the Festsaal in Berlin and finish on 28 May in Ankara. The night after L’Hospitalet they play the Wagon in Madrid and on the 22nd the Republica da Musica in Lisbon. Rivers of Nihil and Urne are on every date but the last three — Athens, Istanbul and Ankara — so in Barcelona the bill is complete.

The band is led by guitarist Jeff Loomis and drummer Van Williams, who were both there when it broke up in 2011, with guitarist Jack Cattoi, bassist Semir Özerkan and singer Berzan Önen. Önen was picked from more than seven hundred auditions. Warrel Dane, the voice from the first album on, died in 2017.

This line-up’s first show was on 1 April this year at the IF Performance Hall Beşiktaş in Istanbul, sold out, and after that came festivals and the last seven dates of Judas Priest’s Faithkeepers tour.

They are writing new material while they get the rehearsals together, and they warn that some of it could turn up on the tour. “If the new music had to be described in one word, it would have to be delicious,” Williams says. “Because it is so good it will leave you wanting more.” Neither a title nor a date has been given for the album: the last one in the catalogue is still “The Obsidian Conspiracy”, from 2010.
