Nicke Andersson will release his first solo album, “Nicke Andersson And Nobody Else”, on Sound Pollution. The label has given neither a date nor an advance track: only that the Swede plays every instrument on it, produces it himself and has also done the artwork.

Andersson started out in 1987 in Nihilist, the band that split to form Entombed, where he was the drummer. In 1994 he put together The Hellacopters as guitarist and singer, and in 1998 he left Entombed to concentrate on them. Along the way there have been The Hydromatics, The Solution, Death Breath, Imperial State Electric and Lucifer, plus production work for other people.

“Nearly 40 years in and Nicke releases his first true solo album,” the Sound Pollution statement says. “The title says it all, for the first time, he’s done everything.” The label promises more information shortly.
