Paradise Lost put out a limited edition of “Ascension”, their seventeenth album, on Friday, one year and six days after the original. Nuclear Blast releases it as a two-disc digipak.
The CD carries twelve tracks: the ten from the standard edition plus “This Stark Town” and “A Life Unknown”, until now only on the first digipak pressing, which is sold out. The second disc is a Blu-ray Audio with the Dolby Atmos mix made by Immersound, which is new, plus high-resolution stereo mixes and the 5.1.
A lyric video for “This Stark Town” came with the reissue.
“Ascension” came out on 19 September 2025, produced by guitarist Gregor Mackintosh, with Nick Holmes on vocals, Aaron Aedy on rhythm guitar, Steve Edmondson on bass and Guido Zima Montanarini on drums.
