Peel Dream Magazine have released “Blind Faith”, a song that had never come out before and that sits on the expanded edition of “Taurus”. The mini-album arrives on 11 November through Topshelf Records with twelve tracks, four of them previously unreleased, and it is the first time it has been pressed on vinyl.
Joe Stevens started the song during the sessions for “Rose Main Reading Room” (2024) and set it aside. He came back to it this year with Thom Yorke’s “The Eraser”, The Books and minimalist glitchy music on his mind.
“I recorded it a few times over, but I couldn’t get a particular sound I was looking for, and the structure kept changing,” he explains. Asked what it is about, he says it is “kind of about wandering the maze of your own head, trying to escape the habits that lead nowhere”.
The vinyl release show is on 12 November at Zebulon in Los Angeles.
