Peter Hammill has announced five German concerts for the spring of 2027: 27 April at the Theaterhaus in Stuttgart, the 28th at the Harmonie in Bonn, the 30th in Rüsselsheim, 1 May at the Löwensaal in Nuremberg and the 3rd at the Passionskirche in Berlin.

The notice went up on 5 October on Sofa Sound, his own label: “A long way ahead, but some dates are now in for Spring next year, in Germany.” There is nothing in Spain, and nothing anywhere else outside Germany.

They are the first shows he has put on sale since “Tears in Time”, released on 25 September by Esoteric. Eleven tracks, two of which — “Heavy Weather” and “Tabula Rasa” — date back to his Terra Incognita days in Bath and turned up as near-finished instrumentals; the other nine he wrote over the past four or five years, and Saro Cosentino plays on one of them. “For my money this is a really worthy addition to the PH catalogue,” he said of it.

Sofa Sound’s touring page lists no other dates.
