Porcupine Tree are back in the studio recording a new album, their first since “Closure/Continuation” (2022). Drummer Gavin Harrison has confirmed it: the band plan to get back together next year to try to finish it, with no title and no release date yet.
“We haven’t given up on Porcupine Tree,” Harrison says. “We have started recording another record. We’re going to get together next year and maybe try and finish that. I don’t know if we’ll play live or not.”
Asked about the other band he divides his time with, he keeps it short: “Currently, King Crimson is inactive,” he says, and leaves it there.
Harrison was speaking while promoting “Far and Wide”, the new album by The Pineapple Thief, his band with Bruce Soord, out on 9 October and trailed by the single “Hold the Ashes”.
