Napalm Records · 6 November 2026
Prong have given their own name to their first album for Napalm Records, released on 6 November. It has eleven tracks, from opener “The Banner” to closer “Our Continuance”. The CD edition, in a digisleeve, adds two bonus tracks: “Out Of Body” and “Cruel Summer”, a cover of the Bananarama song. It’s also out as a gatefold LP, in several colours, and digitally.
The album was mixed and mastered by Andy Sneap at Backstage Studios, the only technical credit the label gives. It’s the band’s first studio album since “State Of Emergency”, released on Steamhammer on 6 October 2023. Tommy Victor, guitarist and singer, says it’s self-titled because it’s “a redefining episode for PRONG!” He adds: “This could be the best PRONG album to date.”
Prong formed in New York in 1986, on the Lower East Side, and Victor, then a sound engineer at CBGB, is the only member who has been there throughout. The label’s press text places the band’s origins at that club, in the years that also produced Gorilla Biscuits, Madball, Sick Of It All and Biohazard. To present the album, the band head out in November on the “Prong Uprising” European tour, with dates in Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark and Greece.
