Quiet Riot played their first show with John Torra on vocals on 1 October, at the Cherokee Event Center in West Siloam Springs, Oklahoma. They played fourteen songs, from “Run For Cover” to “Metal Health”, with “Cum On Feel The Noize” second to last.
Torra is 23, comes from Long Island and had been fronting Fire ‘N Ice, from New Jersey. The band chose him on 21 September out of more than seven hundred entries to an open call, held after Jizzy Pearl announced in July that he was leaving; Pearl’s last show was on 18 September.
“I know not everything will be perfect,” Torra said. “It’s live performance; stuff happens, but I’m not going to let it discourage me.” He is joined by Rudy Sarzo on bass, Alex Grossi on guitar and Johnny Kelly on drums.
The tour continues today, 3 October, at the Family Arena in St. Charles, Missouri, and has dates booked through to September 2027.
