Scorpions have postponed all the concerts they had left in 2026, citing «unforeseen circumstances». The decision affects three shows in Mexico scheduled between 7 and 13 September and the eight-night residency they were due to open in Las Vegas on 17 September.
The announcement came in two waves: first Ocesa, the promoter of the Mexican shows, and that same evening Live Nation Las Vegas, which confirmed new dates at Planet Hollywood between 9 and 25 September 2027. The three Mexican shows will be made up at the end of August that same year, in Guadalajara, Mexico City and Monterrey. In the statement, the band say they’re «extremely disappointed» and promise European dates for 2027 within the same tour, «Coming Home – 60 Years of Scorpions».
It’s not the season’s first setback. Back in April they’d already cancelled four shows in India citing «unforeseen medical circumstances affecting band members», though they went on to complete a six-week European tour without incident, wrapping up on 31 July.
The band formed in 1965 — hence the tour’s title — and both Rudolf Schenker and Klaus Meine turned seventy-eight this year. In 1981, vocal cord surgery left Meine without a voice, and the band seriously considered finding him a replacement, right before «Blackout» and «Love at First Sting». Their most recent record is «Rock Believer» (2022).
The band hasn’t specified what the «unforeseen circumstances» are, nor has it announced any of the 2027 European dates yet.
