Sergio del Boccio + Ekzilo

Double bill at Tótum Revolútum. Sergio del Boccio opened the night with an impeccable, elegant staging. Very much in keeping with his personality, the concert opened with an extremely risky piece where the harmonies and lead vocal blended to perfection. At that moment it was already clear he’d be the one dictating the concert’s pace, and that the crowd just had to listen and enjoy.

Nine musicians on stage made it clear something quite different was in store. Cellos, backing vocals, piano, bass, drums and guitar — they knew how to master the dynamics perfectly. It’s easy to see that the singer, who radiates tenderness and fragility, is at the same time a demanding producer of his own arrangements and compositions.

With total mastery, he managed to rework the songs and add even traditional textures, giving it an utterly infectious sound.

Those who already knew him kept enjoying his evolution as an artist, and those discovering him got to see that behind Sergio lies an endless world where his talent keeps growing right alongside his charisma.
