Steven Munar plays Heliogàbal on Friday 13 November with The New Miracle Band, at half past eight in the evening. Easy Love open the night. Advance tickets are €12 and €15 on the door.
The show is the official Barcelona launch of “Family Live”, eleven tracks released on 20 February this year by Miracle Records and Espora Records. It documents the concert Munar played in Barcelona on 13 December 2024: the repertoire of “Family”, released on 8 February 2024, is the best represented on it, but there are songs from the rest of his career too.
The venue describes what Munar does as a crossing of American folk, classic British pop and white soul with visits to new wave and post-punk, and says the show will also include songs from the record he started producing this summer.
Munar has been releasing records since 2007, when “Miracle Beach” came out. In between there are “The Language of the Birds” (2010), “Break the Rules!” and “Time Traveller” (both from 2013), the compilation “15 Years of Songs” (2015), “The Fish and the Net” (2021) and “Family” (2024).
