The Gathering released “Echoes Of Mandylion”, a live album of sixteen tracks, on 12 October 2026. It was recorded over five concerts at Doornroosje in Nijmegen, in the Netherlands, from 27 to 31 August 2025, with the original line-up of “Mandylion” (1995), including Anneke van Giersbergen. According to the band, it was the first time in eleven years that they had played with this line-up. The concerts commemorated thirty years of “Mandylion”.
The album is digital only and, for now, is sold exclusively on Bandcamp. It includes “Mandylion”, “Eleanor”, “Fear the Sea”, “In Motion I”, “On Most Surfaces (Inuit)”, “Broken Glass”, “Waking Hour”, “Great Ocean Road”, “Probably Built in the Fifties”, “Analog Park”, “In Motion II”, “Leaves”, “Sand and Mercury”, “Strange Machines”, “Travel” and “Saturnine”. The mixing and mastering are by Guido Aalbers at Giesound Studio, and the executive production is credited to Psychonaut Records.
