Tilde were born in Barcelona in May 2009. That November they recorded their first EP, Poleas, at the Jaume 113 studio in Girona. These songs served as their first calling card as they began touring different venues across Catalonia, both in electric and acoustic formats, going on to play close to a hundred shows.

During this intense run, new songs took shape and the band grew stronger as songwriters, gradually and naturally settling into a distinctive sound of their own. That brings us to late 2011, when they released, on the Siete Señoritas Gritando label, their first LP, titled La compra del mes. Recorded by Marco Morgione at Micromaltese Studios. An album they’ve been touring and presenting across Catalonia and parts of the Iberian Peninsula.

In May 2013, Tilde released their third work, out on CD and vinyl — in this case their second EP, Pare, again recorded at Micromaltese in Can Morgione, where the band took another step forward in the search for a sound of their own. They toured it through cities including Zaragoza, Barcelona, Bilbao, Seville and Granada.

After several line-up changes, Tilde spent a long stretch working behind closed doors on their new record, which saw the light of day in April 2017 under the name Animares. Recorded, and this time also mastered, by Marco Morgione at Micromaltese. Mixed and produced by him together with Carlos Sánchez, the band’s own guitarist.

Animares was presented in Barcelona, Tarragona, Zaragoza, Valencia, Madrid and the Basque Country.

Algae, their latest album, recorded live in April 2019 at Hukotaudio studio with Milo Gomberoff at the controls. Produced and mixed by Carlos Sánchez.

For its release they had the support of Ta-Ta Boom Records and El Repetidor.

Because of the pandemic, their album launch was postponed a couple of times and finally took place on 20 March at their beloved Pumarejo in L’Hospitalet.
