Trio Grande play two sets in Sala 1 at the Jamboree on Tuesday 10 November, at 7pm and 8.30pm, with tickets at 24 euros (20 for members). The promoter is MasiMas Live.

Three players, five instruments, and no bassist. Will Vinson plays saxophone and keyboards, Gilad Hekselman guitar, and Nate Wood covers both drums and bass. The Jamboree’s listing says Wood is “possibly the only person in the world” able to play drums and bass simultaneously at such a dizzying level.

The group started out with a different drummer. Vinson, Hekselman and Antonio Sánchez released the first, self-titled album on Whirlwind Recordings on 13 November 2020, with Wood credited for the mastering. He joined as drummer for the second, “Urban Myth”, also on Whirlwind, on 3 November 2023. The third, “What’s Left”, came out this year on La Reserve Records.

Barcelona is one of the stops on their November European tour. Before that they play Manchester on the 2nd, London on the 3rd and the Jazz Dock in Prague on the 9th.
