Vanishing Point release “Eremition” on 20 November. It is the Australian band’s seventh album and their first since “Dead Elysium”, from 2020.
There are nine tracks: “Sirens”, “Bring Me The Night”, “Faultline”, “EverLost”, “The Faceless”, “King Of Denial”, “A Year Turns To Nine”, “The Other Side” and the title track, which closes the record. The first single is “Bring Me The Night”, already out with a video.
The line-up is Silvio Massaro on vocals, Chris Porcianko on guitar and orchestrations, Ande Falko on second guitar, Gaston Chin on bass and Damien Hall on drums. Porcianko and Hall produced it; Dean Wells co-produced, handled vocal production, and mixed and mastered. The cover is by Augusto Peixoto of IrondoomDesign.
Massaro explains the band’s pace: “For us as a band, it’s always been quality over quantity. When the quality is there, that’s when it’s the right time to put it out into the world.” The album, he says, “is in many ways an album about loss, gain, realization, understanding, letting go and moving forward”.
Neither the press release nor the band’s Bandcamp says which label is putting it out.
