Witchthroat Serpent, a doom band from Toulouse, released a new album, “Demons Left To Roam”, on 9 October 2026 through Heavy Psych Sounds Records, on LP (in several limited coloured editions) and digipak CD. There are six tracks, among them “Cursed Night Circle”, “Silver Bell of Satanic Ritual” and “The Blinded Magpie”, and the last is a cover of “The Zany Magician”, which Eloy released in 1975. The previous album, “Trove of Oddities at the Devil’s Driveway”, dates from March 2023.
The band recorded it live at Kerwax studio in the summer of 2025, all on analogue tape, with Christophe Chavanon, who also mixed and mastered it. The credits give the line-up by first names only: Fred, Niko, Ügo and Djé. Ügo plays a Philicorda organ on “The Zany Magician”, and Marion Leclercq sings as a guest on “The Blinded Magpie”. Artwork and design are by Branca Studio.
