Ozric Tentacles released “Harmonic Mind” today, their seventeenth studio album, on Kscope. It’s six tracks and forty-three minutes and three quarters, recorded at the members’ own home studios.
The line-up: Ed Wynne on guitars, synthesizers and bass, Silas Neptune on synthesizers, Pat Garvey on drums, Corey Wallace on bass, Paul Hankin on percussion and Saskia Maxwell as multi-instrumentalist.
The title track runs nine minutes and twelve seconds, and “Tillamook” nine and eleven. The shortest is “Sumipad”, at four fifty-four. The other three are “Guardstones”, “Space Platform” and “Malachite”.
“‘Space Platform’ is a kind of launch pad into the Ozrics’ new world. It keeps twisting and turning through the lines and the spaces,” says Wynne of the track they previewed.
It’s out on CD and three vinyl variants: black, transparent blue and a limited-run purple sold only through the label’s and the band’s own stores.
