Boy Harsher released “GET MEAN” on Friday 18 September through Atlantic Records. It’s twelve songs, the first full-length by the duo of Jae Matthews and Augustus Muller since “The Runner”, the 2022 film and soundtrack, and the first they’ve put out on a major label.
The same day they unveiled the video for “Faulty”, shot on 35mm film with cinematography by Owen Smith-Clark and directed by the duo themselves. It returns to a wood-panelled room where several characters dance, alone and together. It closes out the album’s video series, after “Jeans”, “Hard Beat” and “Tough Luck (When You Don’t Call)”.
Matthews has described the album as “what had to come out during the most extreme period of my life.”
The tour is nineteen dates, from Lyon on 14 November to Antwerp on 4 December, with Paris, Cologne, Amsterdam, Glasgow and Bristol already sold out. None are in Spain.
