France’s Lost In Kyiv and Norway’s Årabrot play together at Razzmatazz 3 on Tuesday 8 December. Doors at seven in the evening, tickets 25 €, with Madness Live.
Lost In Kyiv arrive presenting their fifth album, “We’re All Going to Be Fine”. They play a dense post-rock, with sampled vocals, long build-ups and a science-fiction iconography that has followed them since their earliest work.
Årabrot is the project of Kjetil Nernes, moving between noise rock and a raw, physical gothic rock; “Norwegian Gothic” (2021) is the album where that mix came together most clearly. Nernes kept recording and touring throughout treatment for throat cancer. One band builds by accumulation, the other by erosion, and it’s an unlikely pairing for a small venue.
