Pharaoh Overlord release “7” on 20 November, five tracks for Rocket Recordings, and have previewed “Arms Of None” with a video. The previous record, “Louhi”, came out on the same label on 25 July 2025.
The Finnish band’s core is Jussi Lehtisalo and Tomi Leppänen, who also play in Circle. Growls come from Aaron Turner, of Sumac and Isis, and the falsetto is Richard Dawson’s. Production is by Juho Vanhanen, guitarist of Oranssi Pazuzu, and the mix is by Niko Lehdontie.
“This is, finally, the real Pharaoh Overlord,” says Lehtisalo, who started the project in 2000 as a stoner-leaning offshoot of Circle. The label adds that the record took them five years.
The other four tracks are called “Matriarch”, “War Of Habit”, “The Man Laid Low” and “Under Distant Sun”. The vinyl comes in two limited editions, one yellow and one clear.
