The Irish bassist brings “All In Motion” without the saxophone and with two local players

The Dave Redmond Trio play Jamboree’s Sala 1 on Wednesday 14 October, with two sets, at 7pm and 8.30pm. Tickets are €16, or €12 for club members.

Redmond is on double bass. The two players alongside him are local: pianist Abe Rábade and drummer Gonzalo del Val. Redmond teaches bass at Dublin City University and has been first-call bassist for Kevin Brady, Tommy Halferty and the late Larry Coryell.

The set draws mainly on “All In Motion”, ten original compositions the Irish bassist recorded at Camden Studios in Dublin and which Step By Records released in September 2025. On the album George Colligan plays piano, Stéphane Mercier saxophone and Darren Beckett drums, so the band here drops the saxophone and changes three quarters of that quartet: what the saxophone and the piano share on the record will fall to Rábade alone at Jamboree. “Windchill” was the first track released from it, in the summer of 2025.
