The 41st International Record Fair opens its doors at Estació del Nord on 2, 3 and 4 October, with 75 sellers and 168 stalls of vinyl, CDs, cassettes, posters and books. Opening hours are Friday 3pm to 8.30pm, Saturday 10am to 8.30pm and Sunday 10am to 7pm.
Tickets cost €6 a day, €5 with the Carnet Jove youth discount, and entry is free for under-12s; a three-day pass costs €12. Sellers come from Catalonia, the rest of Spain and countries including France, the Netherlands and Germany.
Stalls include Abstract Emotions, from L’Hospitalet, specialising in extreme metal — black, death, doom and grind — with vinyl, CDs and cassettes. The fair also runs a side programme of DJ sets, talks and live music.
Barcelona’s date is part of a four-city circuit the same organisation runs this autumn: Bilbao (19-20 September), Madrid (26-27), Barcelona (2-4 October) and Mallorca (24-25 October).
