The only Catalan date of the “Camino Diablo Tour”, with the Extremaduran guitarist’s seventh album barely out

Susan Santos plays Razzmatazz 3 on Sunday 11 October. Doors at eight in the evening, 20 € in advance plus fees and 25 € on the door. She brings “Camino Diablo”, her seventh album, out this autumn on Rattlesnake Records.

It’s the only Catalan date on the tour. The Spanish leg opened on 2 October at Totem Magna in Pamplona and runs through Zaragoza on the 3rd, Barcelona on the 11th, Valencia on the 12th, Valladolid on the 15th and Bilbao on the 16th; the month ends in Jerez and Seville, 6–13 November crosses the United Kingdom, and 4 December closes at Villanos in Madrid.

Three songs are out ahead of the album: “El Camino”, “Faith” and “Bad Little Susie”. The venue describes it as a journey through roots rock and dusty country, following the desert highway between Arizona and Mexico — El Camino del Diablo, or Devil’s Highway — across California towards the border. Twangy guitars that turn into thick fuzz.

The guitarist and songwriter, born in Badajoz, has won Best Musician Performance at the British European Blues Awards and Best Female Album at the LA Critics’ Awards. Under-sixteens may only enter with a parent or legal guardian and written authorisation.
