DragonForce release their tenth studio album on 19 March 2027 through Napalm Records, the first self-titled record of their discography. Jens Bogren produced it and it was recorded across the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada and Sweden. The first single, “Hunger Of The Beast”, is already out.
The European tour behind it runs to twenty-two dates in April and May 2027, with Visions of Atlantis and Wings of Steel as guests. It begins on 9 April at the Bataclan in Paris and ends on 8 May at Manchester Academy, taking in Cologne, Tilburg, Lyon, Hamburg, Berlin, Brussels, Copenhagen, Gothenburg, Helsinki, Warsaw, Brno, Budapest, Vienna, Munich, Zurich and Lausanne. There is no stop in Spain, Portugal or Italy: the southernmost points of the itinerary are Lyon and Lausanne.
The set will combine new material with a block devoted to “Inhuman Rampage”, which turns twenty this year and which the band is already marking with a North American tour in November and December. “We are so excited to be able to play both our new songs and a special Inhuman Rampage set in Europe,” says guitarist Herman Li. Singer Alissa White-Gluz adds: “I’m thrilled to be back in my usual stomping ground.”
White-Gluz shares lead vocals with Alessio Garavello while Marc Hudson temporarily steps back from the band’s music duties. The line-up is completed by Li and Sam Totman on guitars, Alicia Vigil on bass, Billy Wilkins on rhythm guitar and Gee Anzalone on drums. General on-sale for the tour is 30 September at 10am CET.
