Hatebreed have released “The Carrion Choir”, the third advance from “Fatal Paradox”, which comes out on 6 November through BLKIIBLK, part of the Frontiers label group. It’s the Connecticut band’s ninth record and their first since “Weight Of The False Self”, from November 2020.
“It’s straightforward, in-your-face HATEBREED,” singer Jamey Jasta says of the new track. “Fast. Hard. It gets down to business and comes up for air two-and-a-half minutes later.” The first single, “Kill Count Increase”, came out on 21 July and opens the album; the second was the title track, on 27 August, when the record was announced.
There are eleven songs, produced by Chris “Zeuss” Harris, who has worked with the band for years. Obituary singer John Tardy guests on “Sacrifice Season”, and the record closes with “Poison Planet”, a Corrosion Of Conformity cover.
The band has been on the road since July: they played the first leg of Summer Slaughter from 2 to 24 July and opened the second on 20 August in Albuquerque, this time headlining.
