The cover of “Death Of A Dead Day MMXXVI”, the SikTh reissue Cooking Vinyl puts out in December

SikTh release “Death Of A Dead Day MMXXVI” on 4 December through Cooking Vinyl: their second album, which came out in June 2006, remixed from top to bottom for its twentieth anniversary. The new version of “Flogging The Horses” is streaming now.

The remix is by Periphery’s Adam “Nolly” Getgood. When the album first came out, Getgood was one of the first people posting SikTh guitar covers on YouTube.

“When I started the remixing project, I wondered if peering behind the curtain would take away some of the magic, but the opposite was true,” Getgood says. “The songs are more majestic, heavier and more deeply layered than I ever realized, and the performances are so incredibly bold and characterful.”

The reissue runs to twelve tracks, with “Flogging The Horses” second in the running order.
