The 2026 Dieth line-up, with Guilherme Miranda, Michał Łysejko, Hubert Więcek and Tobias Cristiansson

Dieth have announced that David Ellefson is leaving the bass and that Swedish player Tobias Cristiansson, who comes from Grave, Necrophobic and Dismember, is taking over. The change arrives alongside a new deal with Fireflash Records.

“It’s a pleasure to welcome my longtime friend Tobias to Dieth,” says singer and guitarist Guilherme Miranda. “His history speaks for itself, and he fits perfectly with what we’re building.” Of the label he says it “shares our vision of where we can take the band”.

The first thing out of the new chapter is “Pound Of Flesh”, released with a video on 16 October. Miranda calls it “brutal, and that’s exactly what I wanted this song to be”. A second studio album is to follow, with no date yet.

The band formed in 2022 in Gdańsk and released “To Hell And Back” in 2023 through Napalm Records. That summer they played Graspop Metal Meeting, MotoCultor, Metal On The Hill and Vagos, and took dates with Testament and Sepultura; in January 2024 they made their North American debut supporting Metal Allegiance at the House Of Blues in Anaheim, and that July they toured Europe with KK’s Priest. Their last single, “Animal Me”, is from November 2024.

The line-up now reads Miranda on vocals and guitar, Michał Łysejko on drums, Hubert Więcek on guitars and Cristiansson on bass. No reason has been given for Ellefson’s departure.
