Mariusz Duda has named the three musicians who will turn Lunatic Soul into a band: Mateusz Owczarek on guitar, Michał “Fox” Król on keyboards and Michał “Malina” Maliński on drums. Duda stays on vocals and bass. The debut is set for spring 2027, with a new album on InsideOut Music and the first concerts in the project’s history.

Owczarek comes from Lion Shepherd and had guested on Riverside’s “Wasteland”. Król is a producer who has worked with Katarzyna Nosowska; Maliński plays in Hey, Nosowska’s band.

Lunatic Soul had always been a studio project with Duda playing nearly every instrument and the occasional guest. The last album, “The World Under Unsun”, came out in October 2025: fourteen tracks and close to ninety minutes, the first double of his career.

The change follows his departure from Riverside, which Duda announced in April this year after twenty-five years in the band. “The current situation within the band no longer allows me to pursue my main passion there, the passion to create new music,” he wrote then. “From now on, over the coming years, I will be focusing primarily on my work in Lunatic Soul and my side projects.”

He describes the new line-up as bringing together his two musical worlds to date “with a completely new energy”, and told the Polish press he had looked at the way King Crimson worked in the eighties and that he does not intend to change how he writes.

Neither the album title nor any concert date has been published.
