A five-euro vermouth with the Guadalajara duo who backed Cerati

Telefunka play La Nau on Saturday 10 October at half past twelve noon, doors at twelve, advance tickets 5 €. It’s part of the Vermut Sonor series, which the venue programmes with different bands at aperitif time.

The duo is brothers Giancarlo and Aldo Fragoso, from Guadalajara, who formed it in 2002 and now live in Barcelona. They combine electroacoustic instruments — sax, guitar, synthesizers — with machines, and the result moves through rock, house, techno and jazz without settling into any one of them.

They have six releases out, from 2003’s “Electrodoméstico” to 2020’s “Discothèque”, with “Cassette”, “Invisible” and “Eureka” in between. They’ve recorded with Gustavo Cerati and with Adrián Dárgelos, of Babasónicos, and have played Vive Latino and Creamfields.

Five euros, Saturday noon. Of all the October shows currently on the Agenda with an announced price, this is by far the cheapest: the next one costs 18.
