The Calling released “Before The World Turns To Dust” on Friday, fifteen songs out through TLG by Virgin Music Group. It is the band’s first record since “Two”, from 2004.
John Fields produced it and it was cut between Nashville and Minneapolis. The line-up on it is founding singer Alex Band, guitarist and keyboard player Daniel Damico and bassist Dom Liberati.
“After nearly 20 years of writing and creating new music, and hitting roadblock after roadblock along the way, I finally have the right band with Daniel and Dom, the right album, and the right team behind us to put it out,” Band says. “We aren’t trying to chase trends, we’re making the music we want to make and bringing back The Calling sound that our amazing fans around the world have been waiting for. I honestly didn’t know if this day would ever come!”
The first single, “Dust”, reached number 32 on Mediabase’s Hot AC chart in its second week. The band played Dreamland in Malibu on Friday to launch the record.
