Tornaviaje Trio play Jamboree’s Sala 1 on Saturday 3 October at seven in the evening. Tickets cost 18 €, 14 € for club members, and the show is listed as sold out.

It’s led by drummer Gonzalo del Val, rounded out by Raynald Colom on trumpet and Javi Callén on double bass. They’re three central names on the Barcelona scene, and the format they’ve chosen isn’t a comfortable one: with no piano or guitar, nothing holds up the harmony, and the trumpet has to draw it out itself while the rhythm section moves underneath.
