Kiko Mizuhara released “Feelin’ Wee” on 3 September, her debut solo record, on Stones Throw. It’s produced by John Carroll Kirby, and the video is directed by Luke Casey.
Mizuhara, known until now as a model and actress, comes from a musical family: her mother is an opera singer, her father is a music enthusiast, and her sister, Yuka, is a DJ. In 2025 the two sisters had already recorded a cover of a Haruomi Hosono song together; it was around then that Kirby encouraged her to start writing her own lyrics.
“I think human beings are like diamonds: depending on the angle, you see a completely different face,” Mizuhara says of the record, which she describes as “funky, mysterious and playful.”
