Punk i hardcore
Frank Turner farà la desena i darrera edició del seu festival Lost Evenings del 4 al 7 de novembre del 2027 a l’OVO Arena Wembley de Londres, i aquelles quatre nits seran també els seus últims concerts per temps indefinit. Ho va anunciar a Dallas, en una xerrada amb el públic durant l’edició d’enguany, que s’acaba de fer. Les entrades es posen a la venda el 30 de setembre.
El comunicat que va penjar a Instagram dona la xifra i la decisió: «After 28 years on the road, 10 albums and well over 3,000 shows, it’s time for a change.» Les raons que hi enumera són quatre: «I’ve been on the road most of my life, put in a shift, and I want to try new things. I want to recharge, spend more time with my friends and family, and explore other ways of life.»
Hi afegeix l’estat de l’ofici: «It’s also worth saying that the economics of touring have gotten harder, the music industry has been swallowed by social media in a way that doesn’t really interest me, and as I get older my physical and mental health could do with some care.»
No hi posa data de tornada: «I genuinely don’t know when I’ll play shows again in the future. Certainly not for a good while.»
